An important prerequisite for a secure and sustainable energy supply and the success of the energy revolution is and remains the needs-based expansion and reliable availability of the natural gas infrastructure. The annual Gas Network Development Plan (NEP Gas) prepared annually by the German transmission system operators contains all the effective measures for the needs-based optimisation, strengthening and expansion of the gas network as well as for ensuring security of supply.
All the information and documents on the prepared network development plans are available on the website of the Association of Gas Transmission System Operators in Germany (FNB Gas).
European and regional network development plans
Besides active cooperation in the Gas Network Development Plan published annually by the German transmission system operators, ONTRAS is also involved in preparing the European and regional network development plans.
