Shaping the transformation together: ONTRAS launches website „Wasserstoff. Region. Ostdeutschland.“
The eastern German federal states are ideally placed to play a pioneering role in the development of the German hydrogen economy. Numerous players are developing sustainable hydrogen projects, initiating strong collaborations and thus actively shaping the future of energy.
With the new website Wasserstoff. Region. Ostdeutschland. (h2-region-ost.de), ONTRAS is creating visibility for the great commitment and potential of the eastern German hydrogen market.
"As a transmission system operator in eastern Germany, ONTRAS is committed to driving the development of the eastern German hydrogen network. However, the transformation to a hydrogen economy can only succeed together - along the entire value chain from production to infrastructure to application. The aim of the new website is to present the concepts, players and projects that are driving forward eastern Germany as a hydrogen location on a single platform and to provide market players with relevant information," says Ralph Bahke, ONTRAS Managing Director of Steering and Development.
In addition to project and company profiles, the website bundles further information on the energy carrier hydrogen, e.g. on production and application, properties and national and European H2 initiatives. The primary target groups are producers and users of sustainable hydrogen, as well as other stakeholders, who can find important decision-making aids for a commitment to the hydrogen location of eastern Germany here at a glance. Numerous hydrogen projects, initiatives and networks are already presented on the website at the launch. As the H2 market in eastern Germany develops, ONTRAS will continue to expand the website and add new market participants and projects.
