ACER (European Union Agency for the cooperation of energy regulators) with its decision as of 6 August 2019 (DECISION No 10/2019on the selection of a web-based booking platform to be used by TSOs for the offering of bundled gas transmission capacity) stipulated that the capacities at the German-Polish border starting from the 2020 yearly auction have to be marketed on the Hungarian platform RBP (Regional Booking Platform).

Starting on 6 July 2020, the primary and secondary marketing of capacities at the network point GCP GAZ-SYSTEM/ ONTRAS will take place on the RBP platform. The first auction on the RBP on that day will be the yearly auction for firm capacities starting at 9:00 a.m. (CET). The day-ahead auction for firm capacities will start at 4:30 p.m. (CET). Sequentially the capacity products with the contract term from 7 July 2020 06:00 a.m. (CET) can be booked on the RBP according to the ENTSOG auction calendar.

Market participants who intend to make bookings at GCP GAZ-SYSTEM/ ONTRAS in the future should promptly register on the RBP if they had not already done so.

For access to the platform it will be absolutely necessary to obtain an electronic certificate from a trustworthy service provider and install it in a browser. The required steps and instructions can be found in the RBP guidelines. In addition, you can find helpful information in the general RBP user information. Purchase and set up of the certificate may take up to 3 weeks.
