ONTRAS is a trans-regional gas pipeline network operator in the European grid system. We operate Germany’s second-largest high pressure pipeline network, over 7,000 km in length. With our efficient natural gas logistics and a competent team, we are a reliable partner for transmission customers, traders, downstream network operators and biogas producers.

We are one of the five TSOs who setup the GASPOOL market area. In cooperation with more than 130 downstream network operators we organise gas transports in our network area which covers six German federal States.

Within the market area cooperation we provide specific balancing services on behalf of the balancing group network operator GASPOOL Balancing Services GmbH.

Customers of ONTRAS benefit from our well-established individual services. Additionally, they have access to more than 700 Interconnection Points within the GASPOOL market area and may reach about 90% of Germany’s available gas storage capacities. The GASPOOL Hub (Virtual Trading Point) offers an alternative to the trade at other European gas hubs.
