Balancing group management covers the conclusion of balancing group contracts, the inclusion of capacities, the processing of transmission, the invoicing of imbalances and nominations for the Virtual Trading Point (GASPOOL Hub). Being part of every balancing group contract it can be used as entry and/or exit point. The management of control energy and the administration of the levy account are also subject to balancing group management.
Since October 2009 the GASPOOL Balancing Services GmbH has become the balancing group network operator also for the entire ONTRAS network area. Thus, GASPOOL is the service provider for the balancing group management for the five participating GASPOOL cooperation partners DONG Energy Pipelines, GASUNIE Deutschland Transport Services, ONTRAS, StatoilHydro Deutschland und WINGAS Transport.

The function of Including capacities at entry- and exit points within balancing group contracts for the ONTRAS network will remain within the secured area of www.ontras.com.
The invoicing of all balancing group contracts until october 2009 are also carried out by ONTRAS.
