Until 2009-10-01, ONTRAS coordinated the system control energy supply for the entire ONTRAS market area.
With the start of the new market area GASPOOL, this function has been completely taken over by GASPOOL Balancing Services GmbH. As of this moment on, you will find all necessary information concerning system control energy supply after that date exclusively at www.gaspool.de.
Until the merger of the former market areas H-gas Northern Germany, ONTRAS and WINGAS Transport into GASPOOL, ONTRAS did not need any system control energy for clearing locally or regionally limited imbalances.
ONTRAS supplied the following amounts of system control energy for network operation during October 2008 until September 2009:

According to the German GABi Gas and KoV III, external system control energy may be supplied either by products for intraday structuring or by market based balancing. ONTRAS supplies external system control energy entirely through purchasing or selling the necessary amounts of gas.
