Transparency |
As a gas transmission system operator ONTRAS links the interests of shippers, traders, regional system operators and producers of biogas. This requires maximum transparency. Therefore, we provide essential information since 2009 in our transparency tool.
We also meet the requirements under GasNZV (Gas Network Access Regulation), § 18, and EC Regulation No 715/2009, Annex 1, Change of Chapter 3 of 10/11/2011.

Methodology for calculating technical capacity
The hydraulic load flow simulation is carried out at ONTRAS with the pipeline network calculation program SIMONE (SIMONE Research Group). This software package is used for steady state and transient simulation of gas pipeline systems. There are no restrictions in terms of configuration and complexity of the network. Since the capacity calculation is a planning calculation, ONTRAS uses only a stationary scenario.
The historical capacity serves as a starting point for the load flow simulation of ONTRAS network. In this, market area and cross-border flows are considered. Contracted pressure commitments of the partners are included in the calculation, too. As a result, SIMONE provides the technical and the available capacities at entry and exit points. These statistically firm capacities are the basis for the statistical firm GASPOOL capacity model of the market area-wide network operators.
